Biodynamic CranioSacral
We currently have two practitioners offering this service. Their techniques and pricing are slightly different, so please take a read and see who would be a better fit for you!
Biodynamic CranioSacral Therapy (BCST) is a very subtle, yet profound “hands-on” bodywork treatment allowing the internal healing capabilities of your body to express themselves more freely. Through informed relational touch, the practitioner provides safety and connection, following the innate wisdom of the body itself while bearing witness to any processes in your system that may require attention and support.
Biodynamic CranioSacral Therapy has been used to address a wide range of physical, emotional, and psychological conditions, such as:

Chronic Pain

Headaches

Stress

Anxiety

Trauma
What can be expected?
During a session, the client remains fully clothed and lays comfortably on a massage table. The practitioner usually begins by touching the feet or the side of the body, and then may move to a few different hand positions, dependent upon the needs of your body. The hands-on portion of the session generally lasts 30-40 min, with some discussion at the start and end of each session.
Within the first session, people typically report noticing a difference in their nervous system, such as a sense of moving from being stressed to being able to relax. The client may have a certain goal in mind for the outcome of each session, but the body system has its own priority for moving toward optimal expression of health and vitality. This therapy is a “process” therapy with 3-6 sessions recommended 1-2 weeks apart, and while it starts during treatment, your system will continue to process for several days after each session. Very often clients comment, “I don’t really know what’s happening, but I know I feel better.”
90-min Adult Craniosacral Treatment: $175
This is a regular session for anyone 18 and over. We suggest booking your first 3 sessions over the course of 3 weeks for optimal benefits to reach your care goals. Frequency of treatment can then shift based on how your system responds. (Please note that though some benefit may be evident after a single session, best results are seen with regular sessions.)
Cora Rennie
Cora’s journey with CranioSacral Therapy began in 2004. She was working in a Chiropractic office and was asked by the massage therapist if she would consent to a practice session. Just by touching her feet, the massage therapist influenced Cora’s entire body to relax – an experience that left a profound impression on her.
Later that year, Cora’s mother was involved in an accident wherein she experienced physical trauma to her arm and head. After the initial medical recovery, her mother continued to suffer from severe vertigo and migraines, and Cora knew that CranioSacral treatments would help. After the first treatment, her mother experienced a dramatic decrease in pain, and continued to improve with each treatment.
Inspired by the results, Cora soon started CranioSacral training, but chose to not pursue her practice until a year ago, when, as her youngest approached high school graduation, Cora knew she was soon to face a drastic transition to empty-nester. Questioning what to do next, Cora began searching for refresher courses. Her journey through the training thus far has changed her entire mindset about how we view life, health, and our bodies. It has allowed her to connect deeply to the wonder and mystery of how we come to be, how we grow and develop, and how our body can do what needs to be done to maintain life. She truly believes that every adaptation and every response is your body taking care of you and promoting life. So much healing can happen through touch – if the experience is truly respectful, safe, and with boundaries.
Thank you in advance for letting me bear witness to the health and beauty that is your body system <3
What can be expected?
Every journey begins with an introductory session where there’s close collaboration. Akela will share her background and explain how the therapy works, but most importantly, you will track your body’s expressions together. Through active communication about what you both are each sensing in real time, it will help create an environment where you will feel heard, and completely in control. In this type hands-on work, no external forces or manipulation of your structure is imposed. Instead, a highly tuned, neutral, and collaborative presence held by Akela will listen to your body’s internal priorities. Working deeply with your fascia—the body’s interconnected web of tissue—you will often feel this fascia melt and become more fluid. This deep release allows your cellular and tissue structures to naturally reorganize, regulating your nervous system so your body can safely lead its own process of resolution and repair.
How This Approach Supports Your Journey
- Nervous System Regulation: Calming the “fight-or-flight” response to promote deep rest, cellular repair, and systemic homeostasis.
- Chronic Pain & Fatigue Management: Breaking chronic pain cycles by releasing deep-seated physical and emotional tension held within connective tissues and fascial networks.
- Mental Health & Stress Relief & Trauma: Providing a safe physical container to process stress, reduce anxiety, alleviate depression, and resolve trauma held in the nervous system.
- Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) & Neurological Issues: Relieving intracranial pressure, easing post-concussion symptoms, enhancing glymphatic clearance, and supporting neural plasticity.
- Athletic & Injury Recovery: Accelerating the healing of muscles, ligaments, and joints by enhancing local circulation, reducing structural restrictions, and restoring optimal mobility.
- Surgical Recovery: Minimizing the impact of surgical trauma, reducing scar tissue formation, and helping the body safely metabolize medical interventions.
- Mother & Baby Wellness: Eases the physical stresses of pregnancy and birth, supporting infants with colic, nursing difficulties, birth trauma, and sleep disruptions.
This gentle modality does not replace conventional medicine; instead, it serves as a highly effective complementary care practice. This works alongside your primary medical treatments to amplify your recovery, build resilience, and restore a profound sense of well-being.

Akela
Akela bridges the gap between empirical science and profound somatic wisdom. With more than two decades of immersive experience working directly within conventional medical sciences and diverse healthcare environments—including specialized clinics in endocrinology, bioidentical hormones, psychiatry, and women’s health—she brings a uniquely grounded, multi-dimensional framework to the healing path.
Her extensive foundation spans anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, toxicology, pharmacology, neuroscience, and advanced pain science. This twenty-year background allows her to listen to the body through many different analytical and biological lenses simultaneously. Rather than treating physical restrictions as isolated failures, she translates complex physiological data alongside subtle somatic signals to discover the unique root pattern and essence of what your body is expressing. She has over a decade of experience working hands-on with clients using Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy integrated with other holistic modalities.
In her hands-on Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) practice, she works directly with and through resonance and the relational field. Using a highly developed felt-sense capability, she listens to the deeper rhythms of your nervous system and tissues to help resolve complex medical issues, chronic conditions, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), complex pain, and PTSD. Her approach is profoundly informed by a gentle, nature-based philosophy and her background in systemic work. This allows her to track where stress is held and facilitate essential boundary work, helping your nervous system step out of long-term survival loops so your body can safely unwind, communicate, and return to its natural vitality. Her dedicated nervous system regulation and restoration sessions are highly effective for children (and adults), providing a safe container to calm developmental stress and restore natural resilience. Beyond chronic conditions, this gentle touch is an essential tool for athletic injury recovery, surgical healing, and relieving the burdens of everyday stress. While her open-door practice is fully inclusive and warmly welcome to anyone navigating a health threshold or just wanting stress relief and supportive tending, she holds a special passion for the reproductive continuum. She offers deeply resourced, trauma-responsive care for fertility, pregnancy, birth preparation, and postpartum integration. In alignment with pre- and perinatal psychology, she practices a gentle mother-baby dyad collaboration that honors the early consciousness of infants, easing birth trauma and feeding restrictions. Collaborative, non-judgmental, and deeply respectful of each person’s unique story, she invites you into a safe, low-activation space where you are empowered to access your own body intelligence and innate capacity for healing.
