A monthly trauma-informed workshop for first responders, military personnel, and frontline professionals, whether currently serving, retired, or no longer in the field.
If you’re exhausted, but your body and mind still feel like they’re on duty, this is for you.
If you’re so used to staying alert that switching off feels unfamiliar or even unsafe, this is for you.
If you keep functioning, performing, and showing up, even when you’re running on empty, this is for you.
If you’re good at appearing calm and capable, even when you feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or on edge inside, this is for you.
If you’re used to being needed, relied on, and responsible for others, but struggle to offer yourself that same care, this is for you.
If slowing down or taking time for yourself brings up guilt, restlessness, or discomfort, this is for you.
If you find it difficult to feel fully at home in your own body, even when you’re somewhere safe and nothing is demanding your attention, this is for you.
If you want to experience more calm, connection, and ease without losing the strengths that have helped you cope, lead, protect, and get through difficult things, this is for you, too.
Led by Kalee, a former first responder and trauma-informed yoga instructor, this 90-minute workshop brings together gentle movement, accessible education about trauma and its effects on the body, and guided Yoga Nidra.
Each month explores a different theme, offering opportunities to better understand your responses, recognize what supports you, and explore practical tools you can bring into everyday life.
Through gentle movement, grounding, body awareness, imagery, and guided rest, we’ll explore what it can look like to step out of the demands of your role and reconnect with yourself.
You choose how you participate. Sit or lie down. Keep your eyes open or closed. Move, pause, or change position. There’s no expectation to share your story, lower your guard, or feel a certain way.
Come curious. Come tired. Come exactly as you are.
No yoga or meditation experience needed. Each workshop stands on its own.
What to bring: A yoga mat, water bottle, comfortable clothing, and any props you wish to support you. An optional journal may be helpful for taking notes or recording thoughts.
