Yin + Pin is a unique experience that harmonizes the slow, meditative practice of yin yoga with the therapeutic benefits of acupuncture. Both modalities work on the energetic channels of the body, aiming to improve the flow of energy while creating space and openness within.
During this 90 minute session, Cynthia will guide you through a soothing yin yoga session. By holding poses for 2-8 minutes, to allow time and gravity to deepen your stretch, elongate your fascia, and release your ligaments. Yin yoga invites you to bring your thoughts, emotions, and feelings to the surface, offering a chance to acknowledge and observe them on a new level.
The session will culminate in an extended Savasana, where Kathleen will apply acupuncture points that complement the yoga practice. This gentle approach will encourage continued energy flow throughout the body, promoting deep relaxation and a sense of renewal. Snoring is encouraged!
Please arrive 10 minutes early to settle into your space. We will begin with a short meditation to calm the nervous system, flow through our yin yoga poses, and conclude with a restful savasana enhanced by 3-6 acupuncture pins. You’ll leave feeling nurtured and relaxed – a great way to begin the week ahead!
